What areas do you serve?

Based in the heart of Newry since 1980 we proudly have the capability to serve all areas throughout Ireland, north and south.

What is embalming and is it necessary?

Embalming is a process of sanitary preparation and preservation of the remains of your loved one. It prevents decomposition and deterioration to enable viewing or an open coffin during the wake. Although traditional in many cultures, it is not mandatory.

How much does a funeral cost?

As a family business we realise that a death can often place sudden and unpredicted financial burden on your family. That is why we offer a fully dignified funeral package for as little as £1990, Unlike others we will never add unnecessary items or costs to your bill without them being requested by you. Through our dedicated complimentary aftercare service we will provide expert guidance in regard to any help you may be entitled to.

What about music?

We are keen to honour any specific musical request you may have for the wake, service or committal of your loved one. Alternatively we can guide you through a selection of the best loved arrangements.

What denominations do you serve?

We pride ourselves in serving all faiths, non faiths, religions, cultures and backgrounds with a first class expert service, in fact inclusitivity is one of our core values in everything we do.

Do you offer male & female funeral directors?

We are proud to be only funeral business locally to offer both. Lorraine Poucher (nee Griffin) has been expertly guiding grieving familys through their time of most need since qualifying and joining the business over twenty years ago.

Funerals and Covid-19

All government restrictions relating to funerals have now lifted. The wearing of face coverings is entirely optional, we continue to supply optional hand sanitising stations throughout our premises. 

Death Notices

The way we notify the community of a death and the relevant funeral arrangements has considerably changed. Whilst still offering traditional methods such as newspaper notices, with permission every notice will be published online through various platforms free of charge.

What about registering the death?

As part of our complimentary aftercare service we will register the death of your loved one on your behalf. Giving you one less thing to worry about.

Can I watch the funeral online?

You can find links to our most commonly used places of worship and crematoriums on our dedicated 'watch live' section by clicking the menu button. If the venue you require is not listed, just give us a call.

Can I pre-arrange my funeral?
